Reset and Eliminate

Author has mentioned the concept of dreamlining rather than goal setting.

Dreamlining is different from goal setting in three ways- Goals shift from ambiguous wants to defined steps, it has to be unrealistic to be effective and it fills the vacuum created when work is removed. To live a rich life it is needed to do some interesting things.

First short term for 6 months and second long term for 12 months and add five things in each that you dream.

Break down your dreams and start working immediately.

Step 2 Eliminations

Effectiveness and efficiency
Effectiveness means to work to achieve your goals and efficiency means to do the work in the best possible manner or with high productivity.
We can be effective or we can do the work in an effective manner but it is not necessary to do the work in an effective manner that is not important. 

People have to keep in mind the two law’s

Pareto’s law

It means 80% of the outputs come from 20% inputs. 

Parkinson’s law

Parkinson’s law limits the work time to do important work.
It is important to ignore all unnecessary and irrelevant work or time waster things. 

Step 3 Automations

Automate all those work that can be delegates, limit the repetitive work and fix a timing to check their mails, to do phone calls and other repetitive work.
